SAVING AND RESTARTING RECOMMENDED
To get the upgraded powers after leveling up or adding an Illusion perk, saving and restarting might be required.
THE TWEAKS
Befriend Animal: Don't just calm animals. Make them your followers! Turn one of 35 different animal types in the game into a follower! Just use Command Animal to stop an animal from fighting or fleeing, then use this power to turn them into an animal companion. Illusion perks required for larger animals (see, "Making Animal Companions").
Command Animal: The power can now be used every 10 minutes, instead of once a day. It also works on all animals, not just predators. Predators won't attack you and prey (like deer, elk, foxes, goats and rabbits) won't run away. The effect now lasts twice as long and has a much greater range.
Outdoor Sprint: Sprint 3x longer outdoors.
Outdoor Tracking: Track living beings (not undead or automatons) for great distances outdoors. Activate the power and sneak. Those in range glow.
Power Draw: Bows stagger and do +10% damage, but draw 50% slower and drain 2 Stamina a second.
Rapid Fire: Bows draw 3x faster, but drain 2 Stamina a second.
True Shot: Bows do +20% damage, but draw 50% slower.
Wood Elf Endurance: Your natural endurance gives you +30 Stamina.
Wood Elf Herbal Knowledge: Created potions and poisons are 20% stronger.
Wood Elf Natural Talents: Learn several skills 20% faster: Alchemy, Archery, Light Armor, Lockpicking, Pickpocketing, Sneaking and Illusion.
Wood Elf Stealth: You're 20% harder to detect outside and 10% harder to detect inside.
ANIMAL COMPANIONS
Once a day you can use the Befriend Animal power to make an animal a follower for 10 minutes. There are 37 types you can befriend. They have the dialog options follow, stay, trade items, do a task, and dismiss. Most fight to defend you. To make it easier to befriend, use Command Animal to stop fighting or fleeing. Befriend as many as you want, but only one will follow at a time. You must have either the required perk or reached the minimum level to befriend more powerful animals, as follows (please note that those with an asterisk (*) cannot go through doors).
No Perk or Level Required: Creatures smaller than a wolf--Chicken, Dog, Fox (Common or Arctic), Goat, Mudcrab (Small, Large, Solstheim), Rabbit, Skeever (Common or Venomfang), Slaughterfish
Novice Illusion Perk or Level 5 Required: Creatures smaller than a bear--Ash Hopper, Bristleback, Cow, Deer, Elk (Male or Female), Frostbite Spider (Small), Wolf (Black or Ice)
Apprentice Illusion Perk or Level 12 Required: Creatures smaller than a giant spider who walk on 4 legs--Bear (Black, Cave or Snow), Chaurus, Frostbite Spider (Large), Horker, Sabre Cat (Common or Snowy)
Adept Illusion Perk or Level 25 Required: Creatures larger than a bear and smaller than a mammoth, or that walk on two legs--Giant Frostbite Spider*, Netch Calf*, Troll (Cave or Frost), Werebear, Werewolf
Expert Illusion Perk or Level 37 Required: The largest creatures--Bull Netch*, Mammoth*
QUICK FIXES
Issue: After combat, dialog sometimes won't work for an animal follower. Fix: Some animal followers don't have bleed-out animation. Wait for it to recover health or fast travel with it.
Issue: Can't find an animal follower. Fix: Fast travel, or go to where you first befriended it or last had it wait.
Issue: An animal follower can't go through a door. Fix: Dismiss it, go through the door, and ask it to follow.
Issue: Animal followers won't die. Note: Even though they're not marked as protected, foes will still stop attacking them if they enter a bleed-out state unless you have a mod that changes this behavior.
COMPATIBILITY AND DISABLING
The mod doesn't change the Wood Elf race or any perks. It changes the Command Animal power only, so most mods should be compatible, as are all mods by sp0ckrates. Disable the mod to safely return abilities and powers to normal. Disabling will remove all of the mod's animal followers.
